Abu Dhabi Hilton

By E Wrigley

The Abu Dhabi Hilton International Hotel is popular with visitors, locals and expats alike. Boasting a fabulous location on the edge of the corniche the Abu Dhabi Hilton manages to mix Luxury Beach Hotel with Contemporary City Life.

The Abu Dhabi Hilton has one of the most popular Beach Clubs on the island. Access is via a wide, well-lit, clean underpass, to save guests crossing the very busy Corniche road. The Hiltonia beach club can get busy during school holidays, but with two pools (one with a swim up bar) and a slide/splash pool there is normally plenty of room for everyone. Banana boat rides are available from the beach.

In addition to the great Hiltonia Beach Club, The Abu Dhabi Hilton is popular with diners. Expats love the traditional style Hemingways Bar, Romantic couples love to sip a glass of champagne or their favourite cocktail at the late night Jazz bar. One of the Hilton's most popular places to dine is Vascos which is situated just at the entrance to the Hiltonia Beach club. A pretty garden makes this a beautiful place to dine out-of-doors during the cooler evenings.

Without a doubt the jewel in the crown at the Abu Dhabi Hilton is the newly opened BiCE restaurant. BiCE (pronounced Bee-chay) serves excellent Italian cuisine in elegant contemporary surroundings. Booking is advisable and if you can, try to reserve a window seat to see the the evening City lights. A pre-dinner drinks bar is available and guests are encouraged to choose their wine from the restaurant wine cave.
